1. Chilika Lake, Odisha
Chilka Lake is a salt-water lagoon in Orissa, India that attracts migratory and aquatic birds. It has an ecosystem of sandy ridges and brackish waters which makes it the perfect spot to watch nature at its tranquil best. During the winter, when migrating birds come to Chilika Lake, you can see some rare species such as bottlenose dolphins and Irrawaddy dolphins!

The ebb and flow of the tides is a beautiful feature of this beach. During low tide, the water recedes around 1-4 kilometers away from shore and then gradually disappears in a rhythmic pattern. This provides an amazing view of sunrise as well as sun setting beyond the ocean, providing an eyeful feast for onlookers. You can also take a Jeep ride to see this spectacle when the tide goes out.
You should be aware that there is no one best month to visit East India. In fact, summer may not be the ideal time because it's warm and quite noisy in this part of the country. However, you'll enjoy visiting these places from November to May since those are considered the optimal months.
